RealNames Corp., a global infrastructure provider of
keywords which replace complicated URLs with simple names
and brands to make the Internet easier to use, wanted to build its brand
name and customer base while simultaneously securing partnerships and
funding.
Turning Point Solutions Principal Nicole DeMeo worked
closely with the RealNames founding team to build the brand and craft
an actionable six-month marketing and communications plan and timeline.
Turning Point Solutions established a market position for RealNames by
defining a new category and produced all messaging and communications
materials.
In addition to introducing the company to a qualified
list of key influencers, media and analyst contacts and fashioning co-marketing
campaigns with appropriate partners, we developed a highly effective guerrilla
marketing campaign and became the first company to ever brand stairs at
a tradeshow, a coup which drove booth traffic as well as attendance at
the companys tradeshow booth and press conference. We launched the
company to great acclaim and continually garnered press coverage by launching
attention-grabbing marketing programs at relevant industry events.
Nicole DeMeo and her world-class
team were responsible for RealNames corporate communications from
the company's inception in 1997 to 1999, the most productive public relations
period in our company's history. With great flair, imagination and understanding,
her team introduced RealNames at Internet World in March 1998 and for
the next 18 months, with clear-headed PR and Marcom leadership, worked
with our management team to position us as the next generation Internet
addressing company.

former CEO, RealNames Corp.
